6/19 - VIBAMIN

June 19, 2020

Vibamin plays hits from neo-soul artists, Stevie Wonder, and even Michael Jackson. Izzy Byers is a Kansas-based vocalist, trumpet player, and composer. She is an 8 time awarded artist. She started singing as soon as she could talk and found her passion for songwriting as a freckle-faced youngster. Izzy has had the opportunity to open for the Pentatonix, perform at the New York Voices Vocal Jazz Camp, and share the stage with many stars in jazz, including a quintet performance involving Connaitre Miller of Afro Blue and Cyrus Chestnut.

After graduating Summa Cum Laude at Friends University, Izzy decided to go on the World Race, an organization that allowed her to volunteer in 11 countries over 11 months. Little did she know how many passionate musicians she would meet. Eventually, she uncovered her love of music again, performing on 3 different continents and rediscovering a joy for creating music again. She has performed and taught people of all languages, backgrounds, and cultures.

Miss Byers is back in the United States with a vengeance and will release an original full-length album that depicts the stories and highlights of her travels. Presently, Byers works at Air House Music Academy, teaching voice, trumpet, piano, and guitar. She enjoys playing the music of her album and sharing great jazz and neo-soul music with her cover band, Vibamin. Her desire is to enrich the lives of others through music and loves to work one-on-one with people to build confidence and character through each person she meets.
